Karen Loden Talmage

Karen Loden Talmage graduated from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina with a master’s degree in preschool special education. She has taught in the field of special education for seventeen years. Many of those years were in preschool special education. After teaching students with orthopedic disabilities for eleven years, Karen received training through Division TEACCH (Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication-handicapped Children) and began teaching students with autism spectrum disorders. Karen integrates many aspects of therapy into her daily classroom program in Georgia. This book is a reflection of her commitment to meet her students where they are and to guide them into what they may become.
